Report summary

We are pleased to announce the second iteration of the global Electric Vehicles Outlook to 2040. We are continuing to take a holistic look at the drivers and constraints of the electric vehicle market. Wood Mackenzie projects EV sales to reach 47 million vehicles by 2040. EV stock is projected to be at 330 million up from prior estimate of 317 million There were two main highlights in 2019 Battery pack price dropped to ~$150/kWh against the previous projection of $170/kWh 30% year over year reduction in BEV sales in China in the second half of the year.
