Latin America Risk: what to look for in 2016
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The new year promises to be pivotal for Latin America. The political opposition in key countries welcomed the year on firmer footing, which suggests a shift away from heavy state intervention and regulatory volatility that has plagued many of the countries for almost a decade. Nevertheless, a difficult external environment, notably from a decelerating China and a depressed oil market, are distracting governments and will exacerbate economic malaise in the near term.
