Tianjin is China's second wealthiest municipality after Shanghai in GDP per capita terms and has enjoyed rapid GDP growth in the past decade. The Binhai New Area established in 2009 and continuous relocation of several industries from Beijing to Tianjin will promote the city's further development. In all, Tianjin's real GDP is forecast to have a CAGR of 6% over the forecast period.
