Report summary

US President Barack Obama announced on 17 December steps towards the normalisation of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the US. The rapprochement bodes well for certain sectors that are now permitted to export to Cuba. That being said, American oil and gas companies are likely to remain on the sidelines for the considerable future.
