This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
2020 was a turbulent year for the aluminium market. The pandemic-induced collapse in demand and the absence of an equivalent supply adjustment left the market with a sizable surplus. Yet the LME price ended the year above $2000/t, 10% percent higher than at the beginning of the year and 40% higher than at its lowest point in April. In this Insight, we highlight some of the key points to watch that will impact the trajectory of the aluminium market in 2021.
