Asset Report
Askaf iron ore mine
Report summary
Askaf is medium sized project in the Tiris-Zemmour District of northern Mauritania. In 2015, Glencore stopped development and wrote-off much of the value of this project. With these developments we have pushed back first production to 2024 for the purpose of modelling the project's cash flows, but it is also likely the project will never proceed, despite growing interest in higher grade magnetite projects.
