The Ballarat gold mine is situated within the historic Ballarat Goldfield, Victoria, Australia. Underground mining and ore processing was restarted at the Ballarat tenement in 2011 and is planning to ramp up to an annualised production rate of around 40,000 ounces gold. Production is below the minimum size generally required for inclusion into the Gold Mine Cost Service (at least 2t/a over a three year period) and is therefore not shown in the analysis.
