Asset Report
Beeshoek iron ore mine
Report summary
Beeshoek is located in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. The mine is owned by Assmang, a 50/50 JV between Assore and African Rainbow Minerals, and produces high-grade lump and fines products. In 2022, Beeshoek produced 2.9 Mt, and we expect the mine to resume production at 3.3 Mtpa this year and around the same levels in the future. The C1 costs in 2022 increased by 2% compared to 2021, mainly due to lower production levels and inflationary pressures. Mine is expected to continue to experience cost pressures from rising labour and utility costs in South Africa.
