Report summary
Bestobe transitioned from an open pit and underground operation to solely an underground operation in 2019. The processing plant comprises a gravity, flotation and CIP circuit. In February 2013, Polyus sold its Kazakhstan operations (Aksu, Bestobe and Zholymbet) and the Akzhal deposit to a consortium consisting of Institute Project B.V., Financial Services B.V. and Folkstand Consortium Limited. Due to limited information, the accompanying analysis is based on Wood Mackenzie assumptions.
