Report summary
The Boroo gold mine is located in Mongolia, being the first hard rock gold mine in Mongolia. The mine was exploited via conventional open pit mining method. However, mining activities at Boroo were completed in September 2012 due to reserve depletion. The mill processed stockpiled ore until December 2014. Recovery of gold from the heap leach pad continued until the end of 2015. The Boroo mine is now placed on care and maintenance, with the mill kept on standby awaiting the development of Gatsuurt project.
