Boungou gold mine
Report summary
Boungou is a conventional open pit operation with a mine life of approximately 7 years. The plant has a capacity of 1.34Mt/a and comprises gravity and carbon-in-pulp (CIP) circuits. Construction commenced in Q1 2017 with first gold pour taking place in June 2018. Commercial production was achieved in September 2018. Gold production in 2020 totalled 155koz. Endeavour acquired the asset as part of its acquisition of SEMAFO, which was completed in July 2020.
