Buryatzoloto comprises two main underground mines (Zun-Holba and Irokinda) and three small placer mining operations (Nerunda, Oralikan and Eleniniski Kochey). Both underground mine are located in the Buryatia Republic, with Zun-Holba approximately 315km from the village of Kultuk and Irokinda approximately 75km from the town of Taksimo. Production began in 1986 and 1985. These assets were acquired by Nordgold in 2008 as part of the controlling interests in High River Gold. Both mines are equipped with crushing, grinding, gravity and flotation circuits with the carbon-in-pulp (CIP) circuit located at Zun-Holba. Flotation concentrate from Irokinda is shipped to Zun-Holba for processing.
