Report summary
It is generally accepted that producing the required nickel units to meet the future demand for electrification could be challenging. However, if we are to be selective about the nickel units used based on their environmental, social and governance aspects, then meeting the challenge becomes increasingly difficult. In this insight we discuss how ESG consideration could constrain nickel supply, but also how these same constraints will provide opportunities elsewhere, particularly in the recycling sector.
