Asset Report
Colomac (Closed) gold mine
Report summary
The mine is accessible by road for only 75 days per year, when a winter ice road to Yellowknife is constructed. All fuel and supplies are trucked in over this period. Employees work a two-week on/two-week off schedule, which produced considerable savings in flight costs over the previous 1-week roster. Power is generated by six diesel sets with total power capacity of 13.5MW. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
