Côté Gold is a large-scale open-pit gold mine located in northeastern Ontario, approximately 125 km southwest of Timmins, operated by IAMGOLD Corporation (70%) in a joint venture with Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. (30%). The mine extracts low-to-moderate grade gold mineralisation from intrusion-hosted breccia deposits and processes ore via high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR), gravity concentration, whole-ore leaching, and carbon-in-pulp (CIP) recovery. First gold was poured on 31 March 2024. Commercial production was declared in August 2024.
