East Hebei region iron ore mines
Report summary
Located in North China and close to Beijing, East Hebei includes China's main steel hub Tangshan. Both underground and surface mines are operating there. Hebei Iron and Steel is a key player in the region and most of the good iron ore assets are captive mines of Hebei Iron and Steel. Private mines play important roles as well, but the average size is small. This region includes one of China's largest iron ore import ports, Caofeidian.
