Report summary
The downturn in Europe continues to be led by the manufacturing sector. Meanwhile, demand in China has also disappointed. The post-pandemic economic recovery did not materialise. Even so, China is trying to stimulate its economy by adding liquidity, but despite those efforts, indicators for key construction and transportation sectors remain subdued. Factors such as a strong US dollar and poor macro data in June, also inflicted downward pressure on the aluminium price.
