Over the past month, falling productions costs, weak demand and oversupply continued to put downward pressure on some bulk alloy prices. However, in the chromium market, understocking has provided appreciable upward support to ore prices since the beginning of the year. In the near term, we expect bulk steel alloy markets to remain overshadowed by weak sentiment in end-use markets.
