Report summary
The graphite market downturn continues despite EV sales growth and supply constraints in China. High natural flake graphite stocks continue to put pressure on prices, but despite this spherical graphite prices were unchanged in July. The outlook remains negative for the remainder of the year due to weak steel demand and competition from synthetic materials in battery anodes. However, long-term prospects are positive, with rising EV adoption driving demand for battery-grade graphite.
