Commodity Market Report
Global nickel short-term outlook November 2018
Report summary
The results of our latest Chinese stainless steel survey warranted an increase to our nickel demand forecasts for 2018-2020. Despite that, negative sentiment founded on uncertainty continued to drive nickel prices lower in November. The main source of the gloom seems to be more large HPAL project announcements following in the wake of Tsingshan's publicised plans in October.
