Great Noligwa gold mine
Report summary
Great Noligwa along with Kopanang and Moab Khotsong make up Angogold Ashanti`s Vaal operation. Ore from these mines is treated at a single central plant. Great Noligwa is a mature mine and was scheduled to cease production before 2020. As part of a rationalisation measure, Anglogold Ashanti decided to integrate Great Noligwa into Moab Khotsong and treat the two as a single business unit. As a result, production and costs from Great Noligwa post-2014 have been included in the Moab Khotsong profile.
