Guixi Huayin alumina refinery
Report summary
The refinery is equipped with five Guiyang Aluminium & Magnesium Engineering & Research Institute (GAMI) high temperature (240°C) Bayer digestion trains, using a similar process to that used at the Pingguo refinery. The capacity of each unit is 400kt/a. The refinery sources its monohydrate (diaspore) bauxite from two captive open pit mine complexes. Bauxite is also purchased from third-party sources.
