Report summary
Houndé is a conventional open pit mine, located 250km southwest of Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou in West Africa. Ore is treated in a 3Mt/a carbon in leach (CIL) plant with an SABC milling circuit. The process involves crushing, grinding, agitated vat leaching followed by carbon-in-leach. Commercial production was declared in Q4 2017.
