This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
2020 was full of surprises for iron ore: despite a global recession, prices doubled, and the majors are now enjoying their highest margins since the boom of 2010-2012. No doubt Chinese demand will remain the key driver of iron ore in 2021, as it has done for most of the last 20 years! But in this note it is not our intention to comment on the “big issues” driving the global recovery, or indeed the outlook for Chinese demand; instead we highlight five points to watch, specific to iron ore, that could have a significant impact on the market this year.
