Lagunas Norte is an open-pit truck-shovel gold-silver mine in Quiruvilca, Santiago de Chuco, La Libertad, northern Peru, 141 km east of Trujillo. Operations include mining, crushing, and extracting precious metals via heap leaching and conventional mill and CIL plants. In continuous production since March 2005, it was operated by Barrick Gold Corporation until June 2021, producing over 10 Moz of gold.
