The project is located in north-eastern Saskatchewan, approx. 65Km east of the Flin Flon mining region. Foran Mining are developing the project and a prefeasibility study on the project was released in April 2020. The study is based on a 9-year underground operation with an annual mill throughput up to 1.4Mt processing material for 10 years. The plant will utilise differential flotation to produce separate copper and zinc concentrates. Total capital costs or the project are expected to be CAD$600 million, with CAD$261 million in initial capex. The project is currently in the Environmental Impact Assessment and permitting phase, with construction forecast for 2022 and commercial production in 2024.
