In March 2001 Centaur Mining and Exploration Limited was placed in receivership. In October Gold Fields Limited purchased the mine and its surrounding tenements for A$43.9M. The Mount Pleasant plant was decommissioned and placed on care and maintenance. All ore from Mount Pleasant and Ora Banda is now processed through the Paddington mill, included elsewhere in this volume.
