Navachab is located in central Namibia, near the towns of Usakos, Karibib and Omaruru and is comprised of a conventional open pit mine producing approximately 80koz of gold per year. The mine was previously owned and operated by Angolgold Ashanti who sold it to QKR (a private equity firm) in 2014. In November 2014, Epangelo Mining - a state owned entity, purchased a 7.5% stake in the mine from QKR.
