New Afton gold mine

The New Afton underground block caving project commenced operations in June 2012, and is expected to reach full capacity in early 2013. The accompanying analysis assumes a mine life of 14 years and maximum milling rate of 4Mtpa, with annual production averaging 120kt of copper concentrate containing 34kt copper and 85,000oz gold.
