Nickel in Indonesia – a star is born
Report summary
The robust NPI market in 2018 has incentivised Indonesian smelter development to commence operating as soon as they can. In addition, the growing requirement for battery raw materials is driving new investments in high pressure acid leach (HPAL) projects. During a recent visit to Indonesia, we took a closer look at some of these developments and proposed projects, while also examining the potential risks for both pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical projects.
