Novoshirokinskoye gold mine
Report summary
Novoshirokinskoye (Novo) is one of the three operating mines owned and operated by Highland Gold. The other two, Mnogovershinnoye and Belaya Gora produce a gold dore whereas Novo produces gold and silver rich zinc and lead concentrates. Ore is excavated by underground mining methods and 691kt of ore was processed in 2015. Novo utilises conventional differential flotation to produce separate zinc and lead concentrates. In 2015, Highland Gold had commenced underground works to facilitate an expansion to 1,300kt/a of ore.
