Report summary
Ok Tedi is a copper-gold open pit mining operations in the Star mountain region of Papua New Guinea. The minesite is located 18km west of the border to Indonesia's Papua province and is characterised by dense forest, mountainous terrain and high rainfall. Ore mined is treated in a 84kt/d capacity processing facility adjacent to the mine before it is slurry pumped 156km south to a drying and concentrate storage facility on the river port of Kiunga. Access and logistics to the site is dependant on the Fly River.
