Omolon gold mine

Report summary

Polymetal reports consolidated production from a number of mines under "Omolon hub". The operating mines which make up the operation are Birkachan gold mine (since 2010), Sopka Kvartsevaya open-pit gold and silver mine (since 2010), Tsokol open-pit gold mine (since 2012), Oroch open-pit gold and silver mine(since 2015) and Olcha gold and silver mine (since 2016). Ore containing a lower silver content, such as Birkachan and Tsokol are processed at the 850ktpa Kubaka plant which is comprised of a jaw crusher, two stage grinding (SAG and ball milling), thickening, a conventional carbon-in-pulp circuit, desorption, electrolysis, carbon regeneration and smelting to produce a dore. The ore which has a higher silver content is processed using Merrill-Crowe and counter-current decantation (CCD) recovery methods at the Kubaka plant. Polymetal also operates a 1Mtpa seasonal heap leaching circuit at the Birkachan mine.
