Orcopampa gold mine
Report summary
Orcopampa is located in Arequipa, Peru. It is an underground operation that uses mechanised cut-and-fill method. The mine has a Carbon in Leach process plant with a 2.4 kt/d capacity of ore production. The mine produces gold mainly, and silver as by-product. Gold and silver production decreased significantly in 2018 due to lack of reserves. Production continued decreasing significantly to September 2019. Based on this, an eventual closure of this mine for the year 2020 has been assumed.
