Pedra de Ferro is an iron ore mine located close to the city of Caetité in Bahia state, Brazil. The operation is 100% owned by Bahia Mineração (Bamin), a wholly-owned Brazilian subsidiary of ERG (Eurasian Resources Group). Pedra de Ferro is situated approximately 10 kilometres from the East-West railway project and 530 kilometres from the Aritaguá port project. Since its conception, Bamin has been seeking partners that would ultimately fund the completion of these facilities and finally allow Pedra de Ferro to reach its ultimate designed production capacity.
