Pucamarca gold mine
Report summary
The operation is comprised of an open pit mine and a 21kt/d ore heap leaching process. The final product is a a gold-silver doré. Construction of the project started in February 2010 and start-up was in January 2013. Total capital investment of the project was estimated at US$200 million. Based on the reserves and resources in 2018 we estimate a mine life of additional 9 years. However, Pucamarca has implemented a regional exploration program "Pucamarca Regional" to try to extend the life of the mine.
