Red Chris gold mine

Red Chris is a copper-gold mine in British Columbia, Canada. The mine uses conventional drill blast open pit mining methods to feed a 30kt/d processing plant to produce a copper concentrate. After mine and mill commissioning had been achieved in early 2015, Red Chris declared commercial production from July 2015. Newcrest Mining acquired a 70% interest in the Red Chris mine on 15th August 2019, and became the operator.
