Report summary
Doniambo's nickel output is split 80% ferronickel and 20% matte for conversion at the Sandouville refinery into high purity nickel metal, and salts of nickel and cobalt. The Doniambo pyrometallurgical plant, operated by Société Le Nickel (SLN) near Nouméa, New Caledonia, is a ferronickel production facility currently operating below historical capacity levels while undergoing financial restructuring with French government support. The facility has experienced consecutive years of operating losses and receives ongoing state financial assistance
