Sotiel (Closed) zinc mine
Report summary
Sotiel is a copper zinc deposit in the Iberian Pyritic Belt. Having previously been run as a mine and mill operation, which closed in 2001, Sotiel was restarted by MATSA in February 2015 as a stand-alone mine, providing ore feed to the Aguas Tenidas mill. Sotiel's production and costs for 2015 onwards form part of the Wood Mackenzie analysis for Aguas Tenidas. The following analysis corresponds to the historic mine & mill operation.
