Asset Report
SSGPO iron ore mine
Report summary
Sokolovsko-Sarbaiskoye Ore Mining and Processing Association, more commonly known as SSGPO, is the collective name for five mines owned by diversified miner ERG in Kazakhstan. It is made up of four surface mines; Sokolovsky, Sarbaisky, Kacharsky and Korzhinkol’skoye; and one underground mine, Sokolovsky. We assume that SSGPO has been profitable over the past three years due to higher than expected iron ore prices. However, prices are forecast to retreat from 2023 and SSGPO's profits will decrease accordingly in the future.
