Suzdal gold mine is located 55km southwest of city of Semey within northeastern Kazakhstan, 600km east of the capital city of Astana. Suzdal operates an underground mine, with the processing plant comprising of crushing, grinding, flotation, bio-oxidation (BIOX) and carbon-in-leach (CIL) circuits to treat the refractory ore. Suzdal operation is the first mine in Eurasia to install BIOX processing circuit, as well as the second mine worldwide to launch a commercial High Temperature Caustic Conditioning (HiTeCC) circuit.
