The top 6 zinc mining companies - a comparison of competitiveness

Company production in the zinc and lead mining industry varies widely, from integrated multi-mine producers, to the other end of the spectrum where companies have a minority stake in a single zinc mine. The top six ranking zinc producing companies in 2020 accounted for 27% and 16% of world zinc and lead mine production, respectively. In 2021 the six top zinc producers are expected to increase zinc production by 6%. This insight will examine the production profiles, reserves, and costs for the six top zinc mine companies. We analyze each of the six company's competitiveness from cost curves and SWOT analysis and provide insight into zinc and lead producers' current and future state.
