Glencore the world's largest zinc mining company and the third largest zinc smelting company has agreed to sell its interests in the Rosh Pinah mine in Namibia and the Perkoa mine in Burkina Faso for a total consideration of $400 million. The sale of the mines to junior zinc producer Trevali Mining will create the world's eighth largest zinc mining company and provide investors with the purest equity exposure to the zinc price.
