Trzebionka (Closed) zinc mine
Report summary
This mine is now closed. Evidence of mining from in the 13th century, with zinc and lead sulphide mining beginning in 19th century. ZGT (Mining Company Trzebionka) came into existence (as ZG Chrzanow) in 1950 and was a state-owned enterprise. This consolidated all the mines in the area into one.
