African Barrick operations in Tanzania have been affected by social licence issues. The mine is situated 100km from the Bulyanhulu mine and Barrick estimates that regional infrastructural synergies are worth $1M/a to the company. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs.
