Turmalina gold mine
Report summary
The Turmalina mine complex is located in the Conceição do Pará municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, approximately 6km south of Pitangui. Turmalina is an underground operation utilising longhole sub-level stoping, in the past the mine has also used cut and fill methods in some parts of the deposit. ROM material reports to a 2,000tpd processing facility comprised of two-stage crushing, three ball mills, a leaching circuit, a carbon-in-pulp circuit, followed by electrowinning and smelting to produce doré.
