Vatukoula gold mine
Report summary
Vatukoula mine having previously been an open pit and underground operation is now only an underground mine (open pit mining was completed in 2012). Mining methods utilised are shrinkage stoping, long wall panel mining and cut-and-fill. The process plant is comprised of a carbon-in-pulp (CIP) circuit. The Company were exploring alternative mining methods in order to bring down the operational cost of the asset.
