Viscaria Restart copper mine
Report summary
The Viscaria project is a copper and iron open pit project that is to produce copper concentrate. Following the December 2015 technical study, there are no current plans to produce an iron ore concentrate (magnetite). The 2014 Scoping Study estimated a processing plant of 3.5Mtpa, however, later technical study envisaged a 2Mtpa mill with material from open pit and underground sources. The copper concentrates are expected to be sold to a local smelter.
