The Regional Geoscience Congress of Southeast Asia (GEOSEA) 2021 conference took place virtually in December 2021, showcasing the innovations and outlooks from various fields of geosciences. Wood Mackenzie presented on the opening day’s session covering the Trends, challenges and opportunities for petroleum exploration in Southeast Asia. In the slides published here, we look at conventional exploration’s past decade, present and mid-term outlook via the journey of one group of the industry’s key stakeholders – its petroleum geoscientists.
