The Say'un – Al Masila Basin is located onshore on the southern edge of the Arabian Peninsula in the centre of Yemen. Initial exploration in the 90s focused on shallow Lower Cretaceous reservoirs, which are now considered to be mature. Post 2010, several wells have targeted fractured granite Basement. However, an outbreak of civil war since 2014 and the pandemic has brought further exploration work to a halt. The report below details historic exploration performance only. A comprehensive update will be carried out if and when activity necessitates it.
